  • 1/2 ripe cantaloupe, seeds removed and cubed (about 4 cups)
  • 3 cups cold water, divided
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar, honey, or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Mint leaves for garnish
  • Optional: Lime slices for garnish

  1. In a blender, combine the cubed cantaloupe and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the cantaloupe puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
  3. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water, sweetener of your choice, and lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  4. Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
  5. Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water or club soda to the agua fresca for a refreshing fizz.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Sparkling Cantaloupe Agua Fresca over the ice.
  7. Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint and a slice of lime, if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing summertime drink.

Optional Serving Suggestion:
