Monkey Bread is a sweet, gooey, and pull-apart treat that’s perfect for breakfast or as a dessert. Made with pre-made biscuit dough and coated in cinnamon sugar, it’s not only delicious but also fun and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans (12 ounces each) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Optional: 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Open the cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. Roll each biscuit piece in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated. Arrange the biscuit pieces in the prepared bundt pan. If using, sprinkle the walnuts or pecans and raisins among the biscuit pieces.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is combined and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture over the biscuit pieces in the bundt pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. Be careful not to overbake, as the bread can become too dry.
  8. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
  9. Pull apart the pieces to serve. The bread is best enjoyed warm.
