Ingredients

Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix together the warm milk, yogurt, and olive oil or melted butter.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. You may need to adjust the amount of flour or milk slightly to achieve the right consistency.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into an oval shape, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped green onions over the top of each naan.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place one naan at a time onto the hot skillet, garlic and green onion side up. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface and the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the naan and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Brush the cooked naan with additional melted butter or olive oil and optionally garnish with chopped cilantro.
