  • 4 hoagie rolls or French baguettes
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: horseradish or mustard for spreading


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the thinly sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
